Feel free to fill each day in just your own way. Every family is different of course, but a typical day might begin with a lazy lie in or a family Wake 'n' Shake session. It could be a morning in the indoor or outdoor pool complex with flume and terrace or enjoying a challenging game of Adventure Golf.
And then...
Lunch out at a great little pub or pop into our Café Bar & Grill with Terrace. Afternoon try Surfing lessons, explore the Cornish coast or relax with a game of mini ten-pin bowling. Early evening enjoy a stroll on the beach, a sunset bike ride or a barbecue. Then head off to the ShowBar for a drink, live music and dancing. For access, Children under 8 and non-swimmers under 14 MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult. An adult may be responsible for only 2 children under 8 at any one time. Non-swimmers and beginners must not go out of their depth, and wearing approved swimming aids is highly recommended. We operate a booking system for these activities due to their popularity. Enjoy fantastic scenery, beautiful beaches and stunning landscape of Newquay, and so much more near the fabulous Perran Sands.
Perran Sands has lots to do for all the family, but a key feature of this Park has to be the direct Beach access, via a path with steps, leading you straight to the golden sands. Pushchair access is also available down a steep path. With its long stretches of sandy beach, this is ideal for family strolls, kids playing and for parents to relax. Also being one of Cornwall’s top surfing beaches, it's great for keen surfers, expert or novice, to practice catching some waves!
Penhale Sands sits behind Perran Sands and together with Perranporth Beach forms a three mile stretch of golden sandy beach with good surfing conditions. Other popular beach activities here include swimming, snorkelling, fishing and sea canoeing (hire is available). Zoning is in place for watersports.
Pleasant walks can be taken through the dune system above the beach to St. Piran's Cross and ruins of St. Piran's Oratory. The beach is part of the Southwest Coastal path. With all the fun of the Park and the golden sandy beach, Perran Sands is hard to resist.
Newquay was a small resort that has grown into a large tourist destination, thanks to its excellent sandy beaches and reputation as the surfing capital of Britain. There is also a thriving nightlife including many lively nightclubs.
Just a stone's throw away from Perran Sands Holiday Park, you’ll need no encouragement to explore the surrounding area. Check out the spectacular Eden Project with botanical gardens contained within huge bio-domes.
The Eden Project is a global garden for the 21st Century, a gateway to a sustainable future and a dramatic setting in which to tell the fascinating story of mankind’s dependence on plants. It is a top international visitor destination and it is rapidly becoming a unique resource for education and home to our Foundation.
Most visitors find that they need at least four hours to fully enjoy the site. There is a choice of reasonably-priced cafés, snack bars and also a restaurant, all offering a range of delicious food (most of it sourced in Cornwall).
The famous moor is perfect for walking and exploring, and is the legendary site where Sir Bedivere is supposed to have thrown King Arthur’s sword Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake.

Perran Sands had its central complex substantually redeveloped with a large terraced area between the Café Bar, Burger King, Fish and Chip Shop and Convenience store for a great outdoor dining experience. It also brings a real sense of community to this key area of the Park.
Perran Sands' excellent indoor pool with flume has had several key improvements made to maximise your enjoyment, including the construction of entirely new changing rooms.
Exclusive to Perran Sands - Our new traditional Yurts (Mongolian-style family wooden tents) provide great family fun. Located in the sand dunes on the Touring Park, there are toilet, shower and washing up facilities near by. Sample the more luxurious style of camping to make this dream holiday come true in the world’s oldest nomadic structures. Yurts are simply one of the finest portable structures you will find anywhere. Their circular space is relaxing and energising, the combination of traditional cotton canvas and the graceful curves of the golden timber is beautiful but also practical and strong.
