The gorgeous sun terrace overlooking the outdoor pool at Berwick Holiday Park is a favourite spot to enjoy a drink or a meal. Historic Berwick-upon-Tweed lies to the right, an 18-hole golf course to the left and your complete family holiday centre is in between.
Feel free to fill each day in just your own way. Every family is different of course, but a typical day might begin with a lazy lie in or a family Wake 'n' Shake session. It could be a morning in the heated pool complexes, or trying your hand on the All-Weather Bowling Green.

Lunch out at a great little pub or pop into our new Mash and Barrel Lounge-Bar-Café. Afternoon try the Bowlingo or some Sports Coaching, explore Northumberland or relax while the kids enjoy the Outdoor Family FunZone. Early evening enjoy a stroll on the sandy beach, a sunset bike ride or a barbecue. Then head off to the ShowBar for a drink, live music and dancing. Within our ShowBar complex, we have the new Mash and Barrel Lounge-Bar-Café - there's something on the menu for every member of the family. Especially popular with kids are the Character Breakfasts. For access, Children under 8 and non-swimmers under 14 MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult. An adult may be responsible for only 2 children under 8 at any one time. Non-swimmers and beginners must not go out of their depth, and wearing approved swimming aids is highly recommended. We operate a booking system for these activities due to their popularity. Berwick Holiday Park provides direct access to the beach via a slope. The long, sandy beach is guaranteed to provide hours of family fun and is perfect for walking, relaxing and enjoying the sun. You are able to discover the secrets of the sea by exploring the rock pools.
Less than half a mile away is Magdalene Fields Golf Club. With scenic views to Holy Island and northwards towards Scotland, "The Fields" is the most northerly Golf Course in England. Established in 1903 with the original layout designed by Willie Park the then professional at Musselburgh.
Any trip to Northumberland must include a pilgrimage to The Holy Island of Lindisfarne, the very fountainhead of England's Christian heritage. The striking 16th century Lindisfarne Castle stands dramatically on the prominent rocky outcrop which forms the island, cut-off twice a day by the North Sea in an Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty. This romantic, enchanting Tudor Fort is packed to the turrets with small rooms full of intimate decoration and design, with views of the walled garden designed by Gertude Jekyll and stunning coastal panoramas.
For many people, their first sight of this glorious medieval castle can seem foreboding, and certainly its history lacks nothing in drama and intrigue. Some of you may recognise us as a film location, for everything from Harry Potter and Elizabeth to Becket and Blackadder.
One of the most imposing castles in England, Bamburgh castle sits on a basalt crag dominating this part of the beautiful Northumberland coast.
The castle is open to day visitors and parties of 12 or more, from approximately March to October
From the earliest days of war between the English and Scottish, Berwick was an important military town. Soldiers of the garrison were for many years billited in local taverns and private houses, which placed a heavy financial burden on the people of the town. Complaints to the Government led eventually, in 1717, to the building of the first purpose built infantry barracks in England. Designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor, Berwick Barracks were completed in 1721.
