La Grande Métairie - Carnac, Southern Brittany

Parc Description

Carnac offers a delightful pool complex with waterslides and lots of activities, as well as farm animals right on parc making it ideal for young families in early or late summer; yet lively enough for everyone in high season. La Grande Métairie is situated in stunning parkland just a few miles from the coast, putting numerous splendid beaches with lots of water-sports close by. On parc there is a fantastic pool complex with its lazy river, waterslides and indoor pool, but there’s so much more to do here than just splash about, why not try Archery or have a go on the Zip Wire, there’s even a circus school via the animation program. There are also a host of attractions within easy reach of this great parc, in fact, the famous standing stones Kermario are opposite. Our 34th year at this parc.

Local Events

With its rich celtic culture, festivals abound here. Festival de la cite des Hortensias at Perros-Guirec, a 2 day International festival in the centre of town, 12th to 14th August; La Fete de la Morue in Binic from 5th to 8th May celebrates local fishing and the Festival des Ramparts in Dinan from 22nd to 23rd July features jousting knights in the heart of this fine medieval city.

Getting There

Fly drive is a convenient option for Brittany with regional airports at Brest, Dinard, Rennes and Nantes. Alternatively there are ferries that go from Portsmouth, Poole and Plymouth.
